In the wee hours of November 6th, 2024, Donald Trump pulled off the greatest political comeback in United States history. Through countless instances of lawfare, media attacks, not to mention TWO assassination attempts, Donald Trump has succeeded in defeating Kamala Harris to be the 47th President of the United States.
By all accounts, the election was to be a close one, largely hinging on six battleground states: Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia and Arizona. For months, pollsters pondered who would win what. As it turns out, Trump not only swept every swing state but also picked up the state of Nevada. By the end, Trump bested Kamala Harris in the electoral college 312 to 270, also being the first Republican candidate to win the popular vote since George Bush in 2004. In addition, Senate pickups in Montana, West Virginia and Pennsylvania will give Trump a much-needed Senate majority.
Trump is already picking his cabinet, and his choices are already off to a great start. A few examples: is pick for Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, a decorated veteran of both the Afghan and Iraq Wars, is a strong advocate of America’s veterans, of a muscular foreign policy and a realigning of priorities in the military away from left-wing social programs and purely into unit cohesion and strength. Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, is his nominee for Secretary of State; as Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, he is a great pick for the role.
More will follow. But undoubtedly, America is in great hands under a second Trump administration.
